But there are also hundreds of other pages on the site, each one a Keyword-Focused-Content-Page targeting keywords related to chocolate, fudge, candy molds, party favors, and other sub-categories related to the main site concept, "Chocolate Candy." It was a perfect choice because I LOVE chocolate! :)


Maybe you are a passionate dog lover. You could have a site concept about a specific dog breed, like Labradors. You can then expand to write about dog kennels, dog collars, training techniques and more - since the same base of visitors who look for information about "Labradors" are naturally interested in those other topics as well.

When you start work at home business, before settling on your Site Concept, ask yourself a few important questions:

• Is my site concept topic "big enough" that I can comfortably spread out and write a whole lot of pages?
• Is anyone actually looking for the information that I want to write about?
• How much time can I spend on my website? If it is just a few hours a week - go with a narrower niche - it's easier to rise in the search results and win traffic.
  
  If you are determined that this will be a big part of your retirement or even something that will give you the possibility of leaving your 9-to-5 job, then go with a broad enough topic that can expand and grow with you over time.

When pursuing this home business opportunity online, there's a pretty simple pattern to follow:

• Choose a good niche topic.
• Plan your monetization.
• Think through your site concept and voice, how you plan to position yourself in your niche to present your own unique angle.
• Pick your domain.
