Home Computer Work

My home computer work came about in a rather strange way. As a missionary wife in Australia, my schedule was pretty full, but I also had time on my hands. Let me explain.

Part of our ministry outreach was a used Christian book shop on the main street of our town. It was my job to mind the book shop during the day. As a result, I had a good bit of free time between customers and visitors.

I began looking for work from home jobs that I could do while at the shop to earn a little extra spending money. I wanted to be able to buy gifts and trinkets for my family members back in the States. What a challenge!

After swimming through the rather murky waters of the world wide web, I was almost ready to give up hope of finding a legitimate work at home opportunity. I was praying and asking the Lord to help me find something legit if there was indeed something available.

It was then I "stumbled upon" a free online marketing course called the Affiliate Masters Course. I downloaded it and printed it out to read. I knew almost immediately that this was what I had been looking for. The course didn't describe any get rich quick plan, but rather a well thought out step-by-step program for building a profitable website - even with nothing to sell.

My dear hubby gave me permission to give it a try for 1 year, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Well, that first site was just a start. Once I got it going and firmly established I decided to expand my home computer work and add some more branches to my successful home based businesses empire. :-) Grandiose ideas, eh?

And, of course, you are on this site, which is my newest venture. It got to the point where I finally just had to have a more "personal" place to catch up with friends and family and share with others all the blessings God has given to me.

I'll be adding more details and help for those who want to get involved in some home computer work of their own. I just wanted you to know that successful home based businesses really are possible if you have the right tools and training at your disposal.

UPDATE: I originally wrote this page more than 10 years ago! As you can imagine, the internet has changed so much and there are even more great options available for those looking to make money with home computer work. It's an ever changing online world.

I'm going to try to make an effort to review and add more content as opportunities change or expand. I'm working on a few new opportunities myself at the moment, as time permits. I'll keep you posted. :)
